Skin Tags (Acrochordons): Causes and Treatment
Acrochordons, also commonly known as skin tags or fibroepithelial polyps, are benign, harmless, soft skin growths that appear most commonly in skin folds like the neck, armpits, and groin. They are usually small, painless , and skin-coloured. They can be caused by obesity, diabetes, or hormonal changes in genetically predisposed individuals. They are harmless but can be removed by a dermatologist for cosmetic reasons.
